Indiana Sales Representative

Grew up in Bay Village, OH, outside Cleveland.   All-City baseball and basketball player at Bay High School. MVP of Cleveland East-West all-star game in ’75.  Played basketball at Bowling Green State University from ’75-’78, plus 1 yr of baseball.  Coaches were Pat Haley and John Weinert.  All-time leading D-1 FT shooter @ 21/21. Worked in medical sales for 22 years with American Hospital Supply, Baxter, Imed and Edwards CV.  Transitioned over to athletic sales in 2000 selling basketball floors, tracks, LED lights, “The Gun”, and synthetic turf.  Been a rep for Shoot-A-Way since 2009.  Cover Ohio and Indiana from home in Carmel, IN.

Have two sons, Jake (25) who’s in commercial RE with Kite Realty, graduated from IU Kelly Business School.   Older son Drew is 28, UD grad, works in sales for Lexis-Nexis in Dayton.  Wife Karen sells for Abbot Labs (covid tests!),  38 years in medical.  Former homes include Columbus, Akron, Rocky River and Carmel (36 yrs).  Been married to Karen for 36 yrs too.   Coached Carmel Pup’s for 5 yrs & won 2 state championships with a 98-10 record.   Scouted for Brebeuf HS here in Indy from ’11-’16, and plan on returning to assist there in ’22.  Also help distribute the Hoosier Basketball Magazine here in Indiana.

Favorite teams are The Ohio State Buckeyes and Purdue Boilermakers.   Have worked with Matt Painter, Thad Matta, Homer Drew, Gene Keady, Bob Huggins, Archie Miller, John Groce, Dan Dakich, Lon Kruger, Muffett McGraw, Charlie Coles, Steve Alford and many others.   Love selling the “The Gun”, the finest shooting system in the world!   Wish John Joseph was 25 years older so I could have used the GUN in HS and college!!
