Miami Guard Kam Craft
Miami University guard Kam Craft has never shot on another shooting machine in his life. Why would he? Since his freshman year at Buffalo Grove High School in Chicago, Illinois, he’s been using The Gun, and it’s played a big role in shaping him into one of the best shooters in college basketball.
Kam, a redshirt sophomore, has been lighting it up this season. In his most recent breakout game, he dropped 40 points, knocking down 9 of 14 three-pointers. For the season, he’s shooting an impressive 43% from beyond the arc while averaging 15 points per game. Earlier this year, he put on another clinic, hitting 10 of 16 from deep in a single game.
His journey started in high school, where his combination of talent and work ethic made him a standout at Buffalo Grove. That dedication hasn’t slowed down one bit since he entered college. After beginning his career at Xavier, Kam transferred to Miami University and continues to push himself to improve every day.
One tool that’s been with him every step of the way is The Gun basketball shooting machine. He started using it as a freshman in high school and hasn’t looked back. The Gun has helped him get up thousands of shots, providing instant feedback and game-like reps that have taken his shooting to the next level.
Kam is a high-volume shooter, and The Gun allows him to get up more shots in less time. It’s not just a machine to him—it’s part of his routine. Thanks to that consistency, he’s become the kind of player who thrives in high-pressure situations.
“I’ve never shot on another shooting machine because I’ve never needed to,” Kam says. “The Gun has always been there, and it’s been a big part of why I’ve been able to grow my game year after year.”
This season, Kam is putting it all together, and fans at Miami are loving every minute of it. With his sharp shooting and relentless work ethic, the sky’s the limit. More big games—and deep threes—are definitely on the way.
