All brand-new and reconditioned basketball shooting machines come with a 5-year warranty on all parts and a 1 year warranty on the netting.

Can The Gun be used outdoors?

Yes, all models work great outdoors! Just make sure to store the machine out of the elements when not in use (garage, shed, etc.). The Gun is not waterproof.

Does The Gun come assembled?

Yes, every machine comes 100% assembled and ready to use. Once the customer receives the machine, they can begin shooting within minutes!

Do you offer financing for The Gun?

No, there is no extra cost to customize your machine’s colors. This feature is included in the price of the gun.

Can I add my logo to my Gun?

Yes, you can add any logo you would like by sending a high-resolution image to your sales rep. Shoot-A-Way does not provide any logo design services.

Completely up to you based on your goals. Quicker tempo can get you up to 1,800 shots in an hour. Or you can go at a slower pace, depending on what shot type and mechanics you are working.

Is there any routine maintenance I need to worry about with my Gun?
  • Keep dry: moisture can cause numerous problems.
  • Keep clean
    1. Unplug the machine
    2. Remove sides
    3. Wipe down with a dry cloth
  • Check rubber stoppers for damage: Damaged or missing rubber stoppers can lead to loud noise and broken parts.
  • Lubricate the threaded rod on the crank
My Gun is not turning on?
  1. With the Gun plugged in and turned on, press the manual throw button.
    • Does NOT work
      • Double check that the extension cord and outlet are good.
      • If power is present
        • Press the red reset button on the Big Blue throwing motor and the try manual throw button again.
        • Check the position of the throwing arm: Down flat, Up, half-way up.

My Gun is on but not throwing?
  1. Make sure you are using regular orange basketballs.
  2. Clean Photo Eye

My Gun is not counting made shots accurately?
  1. Make sure the wand is hanging on the right side of the rim (facing the rim from the FT line).
  2. Make minor adjustments to sensitivity screw.
    • I have a Photo-Eye Wand – Watch for the light while shooting.
      • Light doesn’t come on with makes – minor adjustment clockwise
      • Light stays on between shots – minor adjustment counter-clockwise
    • I have an Ultra-Sonic Wand
      • Not counting enough makes – minor adjustment clockwise
      • Counting too many makes – minor adjustment counter-clockwise
How many balls should I use in my Gun?
  • You should use 3-4 balls in your Gun at any given time.

  1. Does your Wi-Fi require a username and password?

  2. Are you trying to connect to a Enterprise Network?
    • If so, follow the “For Enterprise Networks” section on the Wi-Fi Set up Guide.
  3. If issues persist, please refer to the Troubleshooting Section at the bottom of the Wi-Fi Setup Guide.
I can't log in to my 12K Gun?
  1. Make sure you are using the correct email that you set up your account with.
  2. Make sure you are using the correct password you set up your account with.
  3. Make sure the machine is connected to Wi-Fi.
